David Remnick’s Reporting: Writings from The New Yorker

If you love literature, love history, or just want to experience a modern master of observation, research and use of simple language at work, consider Remnick’s book. In this collection you can feast on his take on modern historial figures such as Tony Blair, Al Gore, Philip Roth, Vaclav Havel and more. He also writes about average people facing the horrors of Katrina (High Water) and takes a close look at past storms that hit New Orleans, reminding us of a couple of history lessons you might not have heard from Anderson Cooper all those nights last September.

Btw, his articles on Don DeLillo and Philip Roth … even Solzhenitsyn … will make you want to re-examine what you’ve been reading of late, guaranteed.
